Advancement Via Individual Determination
AVID is a community of students who are committed to attending a four-year college or university. This four-year program is designed to teach students a variety of effective skills that will allow them to succeed in high school and, later, in college. Students in this program have committed themselves to going beyond the completion of normal graduation requirements and are actively involved in the school community through student government, clubs, and interdisciplinary academies.
