Community Service

My name is Jolene Benedetti and I am the Community Service Coordinator. All students attending high school in the Newport-Mesa Unified school District must complete forty (40) hours of community service as a requirement for graduation. The guidelines of the program require students to work only for non-profit organizations. When volunteering, the student must have a Verification Form for the supervisor there to sign off the serice hours. These forms are available in my office or at www.nmusd.us under forms.

I am here to help students identify projects, work with the community, answer student and parent questions, and record the individual service hours. I am located in the Career Center, Room 121. My hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 7-3, and Thursday 7-1.

To get credit for hours spent in service to the community, please use the community service verification form.
