Library

The school Library is located in Sims Hall in a spacious classroom that was previously a drafting lab. The collection includes a sizable sampling from fiction, nonfiction, biography and reference materials. Periodical subscriptions include two daily newspapers and 18 magazines. There are 26 PC workstations available for students completing homework assignments, doing Internet research, and working on classroom projects. Teachers can sign up online to avail themselves of Library/Computer Lab time.

The library staff assists teachers with developing resource-based lesson plans and teaching information literacy skills, where students learn to discern authoritative, fact-based resources from opinion and persuasion sources.

While Robins-Loats hall awaits its much-anticipated restoration, the library’s complete collection is archived on site and we will be working toward having increasing access to it as needed during the school year.
